Dashing Through the Snow
I'm sitting on the couch watching it continue to snow as my Husband plows the yard to clear out last night's snowfall.
School was cancelled, granting Youngest Child with his second four day weekend this month. Lucky duck!
My mind is on e-mails I have yet to answer and write. The two plants that I haven't watered yet. The floors that need to be swept, and the litter box that needs to be cleaned.
It's also on the laundry I need to do and the bag I need to pack in preparation for tomorrow's road trip.
10:00 a.m. hitting the road with my Eldest Child's partner to drive to Maine and visit with my Dad this weekend. Trying not to think about "what ifs" with regards to whether or not I have planned it well enough so as to be between two storm systems during our commute and visit.
I am feeling more comfortable overall about this visit, but still a few unknowns.
The driveway at my Dad's for instance. Because apparently they don't have anyone to plow. So parking might be an issue. Trying to decide if I should see if there's a place to park within walking distance of my Dad's? Or bring a decent shovel and quickly shovel a spot just big enough to get my car in and out when we get there?
Then of course a new introduction with my Son's Partner. And Pronouns. I need to shoot a message to my Dad today with regards to preferred pronouns. Oh, and ask where exactly in Ellsworth my sister lives. Because at this point I prefer to avoid an accidental encounter.
