Pancakes and Bears

It's the Monday after Thanksgiving. A dreary day, occasionally raining, sprinkling or drifting snowflakes. But mostly rain. And slush. Blah. It's when the new trimester of classes start at school. Which means adjusting my schedule accordingly to accommodate Youngest Child's new schedule. I decided over the weekend that I really need to start doing yoga on a regular basis again. I'm on a streak of four days in a row now. Woohoo! I got up at 6:30, partly due to my phone alarm, but mostly due to the persistence of the cat. Hobbled my way downstairs, checked the stove, used the bathroom, and put on some sweats. And rolled out my yoga mat. I chose a short 15 minute video focusing on neck and shoulders. Took Freddi dog outside so she could do her thing, and let the chickens out. Back inside where I started my oatmeal for breakfast and made chocolate chip pancakes for Youngest Child. Bam! Iced Mocha Double Espresso

  Yesterday was rainy and abnormally warm for a mid-November day. And after a long day spent in the car and on the road with J on Friday, the last thing I wanted to do was get back in the car first thing in the morning with the dog to get her to the Groomer's by 7:30. But that is exactly what I did. Doing my best to avoid the bigger puddles forming on the road and keeping in mind the bare minimum of tread remaining on my worn out all season tires. I had made plans to meet M at Capitol Grounds for breakfast. We had a window seat where we could sit and watch people try to parallel park on State Street while we talked and ate breakfast. The Greta breakfast sandwich and Iced Mocha Double Espresso. We sat there for over an hour until we notice it had gotten much busier in the cafe and other people might be in need of our table. So off we went for an item exchange at Tractor Supply and a couple of small purchases at Big Lots and JoAnn Fabric. After M and I parted ways, I drove the Agway ...
