Random Crossing of Paths
We made a new friend on our walk this morning. Of course I was barely put together, having dared to venture outside before I had washed face, combed hair etc. Normally when we see someone on the path it's a quick hello as we pass, so I don't worry too much about my ratty sweatshirt and dog hair covered yoga pants. But I was at least wearing a bra. Usually when we walk in the morning it's fairly early since Freddi can't eat her breakfast before going for a car ride. Carsickness is a bitch sometimes. I was tired this morning and the couch was calling my name. So we got a late start, which put us on the trail at a time we don't usually walk. Which allowed us the chance encounter with Augie and his person Janice. Augie is also a Texas rescue! After the dogs got over their initial excitement of saying hello, we walked along together in the same direction and chatted for a while. It was truly a pleasure. Janice is older, her eldest child being 40 as opposed to mine at 21...
